The precision farming is spreading worldwide, but at a relatively slow pace. The protection of environment, the quality manufacture of products, the protection of our soils and last but not least the reduction of costs and the improvement of economic efficiency; all these factors provide a stimulus for its worldwide spreading. The slow pace of its spreading is in particular due to the considerable costs of its technical implementation; however, a new Hungarian development offers now a more cost-effective solution as compared with the current situation.

In the frame of a subscription campaign, i-Cell offers its i-Fleet Start services to the OBU systems at a preferential price reduced by 20 percent. The advantage of the offer is that by putting both services in pairs all useful functions of the OBU S550 device will be open to the users. By making use i-Fleet services much more information will be available for the subscribers on their vehicles whether it is the exact position or the route at a certain moment. Through the connection of a digital port the system will be able to send a signal for instance about the unhooking of trailers or door opening as well as to send an alarm signal in case the limit values of cargo hold temperature are exceeded. Furthermore, the i-Fleet system is also able to prepare simple reports (e.g. waybills), besides it is able to send automatic reports to the subscriber at predefined time intervals.

A gépek közti kommunikációra épülő M2M technológiák közül a flottamenedzsment tekinthet vissza a legnagyobb múltra, a közelmúltbeli fejlemények tükrében azonban bőven van még lehetőség fejlődésre.

Jeremy Green, a Machina Research kutatócég vezető elemzője szerint „a szektor rendkívül izgalmas időszak elé néz. A felhasználók megváltozott, és egyre magasabb színvonalú szolgáltatásokat igénylő elvárásaival a fejlesztő vállalatok is igyekeznek lépést tartani. A legfrissebb összesítések szerint 2013 végén megközelítőleg 11 millió, vezeték nélküli kapcsolattal működő flottamenedzsment rendszer volt forgalomban világszerte. Becsléseink szerint 2023-ra ez a szám eléri majd a bűvös 60 milliós értéket, és további 10 millió vállalati jármű csatlakozhat majd egymáshoz gyárilag beszerelt megoldások révén.” (more…)

The Ministry of National Development approved the annulment of fines imposed for non-payment of electronic toll in some, well-defined cases in the introductory period; the regulation applies to the unexperienced drivers, who has bought the relational ticket, but not in full accordance with the provisions of law: with delay or on the basis of an incorrect declaration.

The Parliament has laid down the provisional regulation without prejudice to the public interest in such a way that road users not paying toll are not placed in a competitively more advantegous position compared to law-abiding users. Applications can be submitted from 15 November, the final deadline is 8 January 2015.
